“I like shiny things but I’d marry you with paper rings.”
~ Taylor Swift
This was such a fun shoot to be a part of. Sometimes brides get a bit nervous about including bright colors in their plans and the more neutral pallettes tend to win out. However as this shoot proves you can have bright pops of color, and fun iridescent accents and still pull off an elegant and sophisticated look.
We kept the main cake in a subtle pink, but every tier had some sparkle or shine incorporated. The base had a sparkling sugar wrap with lots of iridescent (edible) glitter. The middle was painted with a shiny satin effect, and the top tier had a delicate shimmering sugar sail.
Mini Cakes are perfect for a micro wedding. Everyone gets their own cake and they are a beautiful table decoration. We had great fun creating these beauties with all their sparkling prettiness.
I get asked to participate in lots of styled shoots, more than I could possible do but I always jump at the chance to work with Lauryn of Photography By Lauryn and Amy from Rustique Swan. Lauryn’s photos never disappoint and Amy always blows me away with her meticulous styling and wonderful inventory. The entire vendor team knocked this shoot out of the park. So many beautiful, unique and fun touches.
